Default What to look out for (my first scooby)

Hi all.

2 days ago my old car died and is now in the scrappy so now i am looking for a new car. As I have always wanted a performance car I have got my eye on getting a suburu STI.
Now I have found one on piston heads that i think looks really nice :Subaru : Stunning STI.

But I have got a few questions for you if thats ok.

1. Is that the sort of price i will be looking to pay for that year/type of scooby
2. Is there anything I should be looking out for when i go to a view a car?
3. What are the general problems with the car
4. Could you reccomend me any good insurence companies? As i am 22 with 5years ncb and i just got a quote with admiral for 1000, and to be honest i think i could get that cheaper from a specialist company.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

Welcome to SN!

Try A-Plan or Keith Michaels for your insurance (Do a search on here you will find the numbers easy), a lot cheaper than other places. I am 24 and A-Plan were £300 lower than other companies.

Main thing to look out for in my opinion would be check that it has FSSH which it should have with that mileage and obviously do a HPi check.

Just be prepared for to look out for any engine noises, as loud noises can be very costly. Good Luck.
