Default STI V6 Heads

Just about to get myself a set of heads from a Sti V6 / P1

I remember seeing a thread a while back about them on how to spot the differance with the valve train (cams, valves and shims etc)

I understand the castings are the same as my Uk 99, but want to know what to look out for to spot there genuine.

Thanks in advance

Nathan

The followers have small 'under bucket' shims, the UK ones have the 10p size top of follower shim.

Look for ED3 + ID3 valve codes, pink colour coded valve springs and as WMS said, under bucket shims.

Have a look here -> https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...7-sleeper.html of Westwood2006 project - some good pics he posted up of his STi 5 ~ 6 heads, cams etc

#48 looks like

L IN (looks like a L to me)

So assuming the rest should be>>>>

L EX
R IN
R EX

Only guessing here.

Top marks Baly.
To the OP - check the identification lines running through the letters on the cams to make sure the heads you are buying have STi cams fitted.
