HELP!!! Starting Problem
#1
Has anyone had a problenm with their car not recognising their key?
What was the symptoms?
We are having problems starting the car in the morning, but only when it is frosty! It starts any other time straight away.
I have contacted the company that the alarm was fitted by (very unhelpful!) and they say it is not an alarm problem, I have contacted the local Subaru dealer this morning (also very unhelpful!!)and wondered if someone else may have had this problem and if so could you please help us?
Thanks
Jane

What year of car and what alarm?
I have my99 that is fitted std with sigma cat 1.
If your model came with an immobiliser as std, how does it operate?
If its transponder type ie you dont have to insert security key into socket then your key may need recoded, but I've no idea what earlier scoobs had.
I had problems on an audi similar to what you have and had to get my keys recoded and the ecu reset.
As your dealer to check the ECU for fault codes, and take it from there.
Cheers
