Default HKS SSQV v2 volume on v1 classic?

ive recently replaced the baileys for the ssqv new shape but im experiencing it being quieter than the baileys anybody else finding it quiet? ive installed the vacum filter inline short end towards the dump valve using 4mm vac pipe the diafram seems to be moving ok when the throttle is blipped & its not leaking im running about 16psi any ideas guys?

what coloured fin do you have in it the standard silver one? or purple? and is it an ajustable hks bov?

it the non adjustable one, ive got both purple & silver fins the volume in comparison to the baileys isnt as loud which it should be far as im aware

but which one do you have in the purple or silver fin cnt hav both on at once? if you put silver fin in its the loudest and check all hoses are correct and ther is a blanking plug in the recirculating hose and check for any loose hoses or even a tear in hoses that could be leaking vacuum.

sorry i ment im only running the one fin had the silver fin in orginally but was curious as to what the purple fin sounded like compared & if the volume was any different so fitted that now, all boost air hoses seem fine ive had everything off cleaned etc apart from the intercooler pipework which goes from underneeth the intercooler to the turbo with the dv take off gonna try & get this off when i can & check that cheers for your help

no problem you will find the silver fin louder than purple one as i have tryed both at bigger load the purple fin sounds like its strugglin to dump as with silver fin dumps high picth chirp

to me it sounds & feels like the pressures either not there to push it fully which it should have im putting 16psi though it or the spring assembly is knackered, im having to put alot more boost through it to get any sound outta it compared to the baileys & i wouldnt say its loud at that & the chirp with the silver fin seems to be very short unlike ones ive heard

maybe the ssqv is nakered mate the spring type valve inside is probly faulty try taking the nuts out and having a look inside it
