Default SAFC II

I have just purchased a SAFC II and was wondering if I needed to get a fuel pressure regulator to go with it? I'm running a MY93 WRX with STi V3 engine, full S/S system inc decat, td05, 255 fuel pump, unknown chip on WRX ECU (removes fuel cut), adjustable actuator and HKS mushroom IK.

I am planning on getting it all properly set up on a rolling road and before anyone says anything unfortunetally I cannot afford a Power FC or the likes.

you won't need a fuel reg unless you need to push the injectors.

(make sure whoever sets it up knows what there doing and also checks for knock)

it is a fuel controller but not many people know that it will also mess with the ignition timing tables.

I'm planning on taking it to Hypertech in Bonnybridge (Scotland), my mate took his Starlet GT there and said the guy knew his scoobies and there was loads parked outside.
I'm just running standard injectors so I don't know if that helps or not?

I think your injectors are 380cc? if so with a td05 you will see a few more horses if you fit a fuel reg (ideally bigger injectors)

Yeh think its on 380ccs but it'd need an uprated intercooler as well as injectors if I was looking for big BHP, I'm just hoping for a reliable, safe and useable 270-280bhp (for the moment anyway).

you will be fine then without a fuel reg for 280bhp, would've thought with the correct mapping your topmount will be 'ok' with the td05 and fine at 280bhp

front mount would be better though.
