HKS FCD & Apexi SAFC questions/info?
I think I need to get one for mine so I can increase the fuel cut that little bit but I’m a bit unsure about using it in conjunction with my Apexi SAFC.
Now as far as I know the FCD wires into the MAF or MAP signal depending on the vehicle but not sure which it uses for scoobs.
I’d have thought the MAP signal would make more sense as it is meant to modify the signal for the amount of boost being sent to the ecu so it thinks there is less boost than is the case as far as I can see and I don’t see how it can do that if it connects to the MAF as you can have high air flow at low boost (say if you were going fast down a hill for instance where there isn’t much engine load & therefore less boost).
I’m a bit concerned anyway that if I get one and it wires into the MAF signal how that would affect/work with the apexi fuel computer which is already modifying the signal from the MAF.
Can anyone confirm any details about which the FCD connects to and if it is the MAF rather than the MAP, how it might affect me or cause any problems etc?
Cheers!
