Default engine noise help, advice on a classic

just looking for some advice, last week i was having a little play with a few motorbikes, when by boost gauge started going haywire,it usually boosts to 1.2 bar,but was boosting to 1.5 bar then to 2 bar,the boost felt all over the place,on returning i noticed a loud ticking noise from the turbo, and thought it to be shot.

i sourced another td04 the next day and got it fitted by my local specialist, but the noise is still there, would it be possible this turbo's knackered aswell, they are changing the up pipe and gaskets to see if that helps.as anyone else had this problem or can offer advice.only had the car a few months and having endless problems its costing me a fortune

cheers philly
