Question There's a WOOKIE under my bonnet...

There's a Wookie under my bonnet...

More noticeable on the motorway when the accelerator is moved more gently. Its when it comes off boost and I cant figure out if its coming from the turbo or the dump valve?

I have a 97 jdm sti and its got the standard recirc dump valve and when it comes off boost I get the normal 'sshh' noise, but I also get what I can only describe as the noise Chewbaka makes, like a low horn tone or creek type noise that radiator pipes make whenthey are heating up??

Anyone have any idea what it is or how to get rid of it as its quite annoying

Thanks

It's common failure of the std 97/98 recirc valve - happened to my old 97 Forester.
the valve starts to open too early and sounds like a cow mooing ( or wookie!)
