Arghhh... bird poo!!! Big pics...
Well... beginning of the week ( monday ) the Scooby got a good wash polish...
Started my 2 weeks of nights at work... so 1st night being monday... went on my push bike...
Finished and come back tuesday morning around 0630... ahhhhh, the Scoob is still there shiney as new... went bed... woke up about 1700 tuesday evening... come out to the Scoob with bird poo on the bonnet... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, how did that get there, its parked under a F***ing car port crying out loud!!!
Oh well, thought i'd wash it straight off... no problem...
Well with the sun we had on tuesday it was well baked on...
It took some shifting but it was too late... it had started to eat into my bonnet...
I spent the next half hour with cutting compound slowley cutting it back... It looked miles better but far from perfect... but would do until I had some more time...
So... this morning after 10 hour shift... I come back from work arm'd!!!
2000 grit pads, 3000 grit pads... some polish.... and coffee... lol
A quick flat with the 2000 pads... by finger...
and again and again...
Next up was the 3000 pads... now the poo mark was gone time to ease the sanding...
A quick hand polish... again and again...
Getting there, but not quite there yet...
A quick pic of the kit... next up was some Blackfire polish... applied with a applicator pad...
again by hand...
Reflection shot... you guessed where I work yet...?
Now I was happier with the finish... time to seal the paint up... again with some more Blackfire range...
There we go... all done... Abit of a rushed job... but its done the trick... weather permitting on sunday its gonna have a full machine polish...
So once its had a full machine polish... I'll get some more pics up maybe with abit of a write up...
And a better camera... although I dont think my phones pics are that bad...
Why I decided to post about my bird poo mark on my bonnet...??? thought some of you lot may have marks on your car like this... just thought I'd post it to show what can be done... and how easy it is...
I was really p***ed off beginning of the week... because I keep on top of cleaning my car... look after it... and was amazed what 1 dollop of s**t could do in such little time...
Anyway... I need to go bed now to re-charge the batteries...

Cheers for the comment. . . Everything is forsale at a price. . . You wanna make a offer via pm feel free. . . Dont expect it for peanuts. . . As theres less than 4k on my near 8k 2.35 rebuild.
Id want reasonable money for it because the cars condition for its age is a1. . . And the spec is awesome!

Depending on my mood... and paint condition... other stuff does get used...
But mainly I use blackfire stuff now from polishedbliss...
Its dead easy to use and the finish it gives is great... the pic's don't do the car justice at all... I'll get some better pics took with another camera over weekend once its been machine polished...
To say this is a pampered STi ver 4 would be a understatement...!!!
Cheers for the comments again... keep then coming...

Your a brave man to rub the paintwork down like that... or you understand paint a lot more than I do by the look of things. I don't bother taking mine to work at all these days as we have a seagull problem on the roof, all in all I rekon there are 80 plus and quite often I end up having to wash my run around a few times a week as it is.... it's not just a spot though it goes from the front of the car to the rear ! It ruins the paint if you are not carefull... all in all though great job there.

Out of interest, what do you work as??
This car is stunning... and if I was looking for a Classic STi then I'd be knocking on your door.
Cheers,
Grant

I had to wash a bird crap off my freshly painted bonnet recently, and it had marked that paint. Fortunately a few rubs (well, about 12) with Poorboys SSR managed to take it out but i'll bear your work in mind if it happens again - top job & nice car!
