I've fitted sti seats in my MY2004 (54) wrx,the wrx seats had side airbags in them,the sti seats don't have side airbags in them,with this the airbag warning light is on.I understand the way around this is to fit risistors to the plugs under the seats,can anyone who has done this or who knows how to do it please advice me,what ohm i need and best way to fit them?.
Any help would be gratefull,thanks in advance.

2.2 ohm from maplin is what i used. you literally shove each end of the resistor into each side of the connector block, then i secured mine down with gaffer tape. been there for 12 months now and airbag light stays off.

I did mine, but am sure it was 3.3 ohm that I used, but as above mine were wedged into the plugs and I used duck tape to cover the plug. No problems at all.

surely a dealer would be able to get the proper blanking plugs, you'll pay for em tho from a dealer

the blanking plugs are about £11 each from a dealer, special order from japan the resisters are about 20p for the 2 and can get them straight away, no comparison for me. As the light was driving me round the twist, had to get it off asap.
