Just got a WRX , airfilter encloser and cambelt kit
Hi,
Ive just got a 95' WRX wagon.
Its running exhaust, decat, and upped boost. Goes ok but suffers from heat soak as the air filtrer is in a crap postion. Is there anywhere i can buy some sort of encloser to box it off from the rest of the engine bay?
Also i gave it service the day i got it but when i priced up a camblet kit at the local motorfactors it was £195. Is there anywhere to get one cheaper. The current belt looks fine and was apparently changed not so long ago but id rather be safe than sorry

Either make a heat sheild for it yourself or buy the original airbox and use that instead.
This is my engine bay
and the heatsheild goes from where the strut brace is connected to the suspension turret down to where the carbon canister is (not in picture) at the front of the car and is wrapped slightly over the top of the induction kit.

Some pictures on the above thread (from Harvey on here)
template (from Harvey on here)
don't think anyone has done a guide as it is quite easy to do and so many people have done it differently.
