Default Boost Problems - Help!

Hi all....please diagnose me......!!
Went for an overtake on Sunday ...... as I pulled out and floored it was fine until I hit boost, at which point the car stuttered and dreaded check engine light came on and car hit limp mode. Restarted and it cleared and seemed fine but obviously I didnt then push it. Drove back to Cardiff from Hereford out of boost then, but had a lil play when I got back and all seemed fine. Yesterday put my old MAF back on (I have recently put standard airbox and a new MAF on and thought it might be related - I have reset the ECU between taking off induction kit and fitting the box) and it was driving fine again but then had a stutter on boost again last night with no engine lights.
Have no confidence in the car at the moment for obvious reasons......
There arent any obvious noises apart from a loud solenoid which I've always had! HELP!!!
Cheers, Dan.

ECU will store the code so you should be able to read it with the normal procedure. Best port of call. Most likely MAF or knock sensor. Knock sensor not working or detecting knock can retard the timing by 5 degrees and that slows things down quite a lot. Dodgy MAF can make it lean and cause knock possibly setting both codes.
