95 WRX SAFE BOOST INCREASE???

Default 95 WRX SAFE BOOST INCREASE???

i hav a 95 wrx with 3" straight exhaust, uprated oil and fuel pump! im lookin 2 increase the boost 2 get a bit more performance can i safely do this without risking my engine? if so what will i need

To increase the boost you will need to increase the fueling to. I have a pp chip fitted with a mbc and afr meter, am boosting to about 1.2bar which is about the max of the standard map sensor (approx 1.23 bar iirc)and the standard ecu will hit fuel cut before this though. To be honest you will need a aftermarket ecu or a remap of some sort to increase it safely

its runnin standard boost which is what 0.8-0.9?

i ran 1.1 on mine with standard ecu and was fine, rich infact.

You will be able to run 1.1, but remember this is not the correct way and an after market ecu should be used.

Plus if your not happy with the standard boost you will want more when you max this out. So do it right the first time and save yourself spending a shed load when you blow the engine or do the head gaskets. High mileagers tend to give up the ghost quicker.

Mine is running 310bhp on 0.8bar of boost... i did have it around 1bar but hit fuel cut all the time, so knocked it back down...

From what i can tell its running stainless headers, decat up pipe, FMIC Standard down pipe (i think) and 3 inch cat back with standard ECU
