Default Confused by my AFR

Morning Guys,

I got my car back last week and I am in the process of running it in (so it's not been above 3500rpm yet).

I am a little confused by the information I am getting from the car.

It is mapped for 98octane fuel but I am using V-Power racing (100octane).

The AFR gauge is an AEM UEGO wideband. ECU is Apexi Power FC.

AT IDLE:
When I start the car cold, the AFR gauge starts at about 12.3 and slowly works it's way upto 14.7 ish.

After the engine has properly warmed up, at idle, most times the AFR reads around 15.3 but occasionally the gauge will read around the 16-17 mark.

AT LIGHT THROTTLE:
Occasionally, the AFR will go right up to 17.

And regardless of the AFR readout, the Apexi PFC commander never reads above 5 for the knock value.

Am I just being paranoid? Is there some reason for concern? Should I wait until the car is run-in before I can get proper readings?

Thanks. (Apologies to those that have already read this on SIDC )

I think this is fairly normal. On overrun fuel is cut completely over a certain rpm so it would indicate very lean. On very light throttle you can get away with fairly high afrs, probably mapped that way for good economy. 17 is fairly high though so if might be worth checking with the mapper that was what was intended.
