the standard recirculating air bypass valve (aka "dump valve") makes it "chuff".

Wink

I have a uk turbo 2000, with a fully scoobysport system.
How can I get lots of turbo flutter, I don't want a big huge Essex boy woooosh, but more of a flutter, the louder the better.

Scooobysport said this is to do with a ram air filter is this true?
I heard that ram air filters, play up in traffic, due to the heat under the bonnet.

It is not a racing car, so max power is not required, just max noise, so I can be a max power boy racer.

An induction kit such as K&N will give you all the turbo warble, flutter and woosh you would ever want ! The MAF should compensate for underbonnet temp in traffic no problem.

I don't understand, I thought it was a whistle that came form the Turbo, how can sucking air in when the throttle is closed, create this.
