Question Strange boost problem

Hey guys, does anybody know what on earth could be causing this?........

http://s138.photobucket.com/player.s...fs=1&os=1&ap=1

That's just when the car's idling. It does it when I'm driving aswell tho.......

http://s138.photobucket.com/player.s...fs=1&os=1&ap=1

I think the gauge is actually getting a reading. As in......I think something is making the gauge do that, rather than the gauge is just being random and the boost level is actaully fine. The reason I say this is the car feels ridiculously fast when I accelerate......cuz all I have to do is put my foot down a bit and the boost seems to rocket on the gauge.......and also you can feel the car accelerating like a legend. I'm sure this is bad? I mean you can see when I put my foot down I can pretty much get it to go off the end of the gauge!!!

This isn't a constant problem by the way.......sometimes now it'll be fine.....next minute the needle will be twitching.......next minute fine again. And the car does seem different when it happens, so it's not just the gauge.

Any ideas?

Meant to say aswell sorry - ignore the flashing gauge next to the boost. That's just oil pressure, and the sender is knackered

Electronics are dying, I recently fitted an oil pressure gauge to a car and it did this briefly.... till it died !

Sorry !

But the car goes like absolute **** off a stick when the boost is going crazy on the gauge.......and seems pretty normal and possibly even below normal performance when the gauge isn't twitching about?

I can understand prosport gauges not being as reliable as others cuz they're so cheap etc......but I can't understand them changing the performance of my car lol, so must be something else surely?!

I would say you have a faulty gauge. If you were getting 30psi/2 bar of boost you should be hitting the fuel cut.

It looks like you have fitted the inline oneway valve which is supplied with the boost gauge, if you remove it and just have the gauge piped directly to the sensor all should be fine.
