can i run a full decat on a 2003 sti without a remap??
as above, i know a remap is recommended. is it safe running a full decatted exhaust system. i used to run a full decat on a wrx without no problems.

if you can do it on a wrx then why cant you do it for an sti?!!!! only difference is more boost/power. ive run a decat on a MY98 type r sti with out a remap and no problems for 6000miles. also on a MY03 wrx for 4000 miles with no problems

the sti turbo tends to surge big time or boost spike when decatted.. you can take the risk but it would be best to get it mapped or at least checked.

De cated my 03 sti not long a go and it causes the boost to spike ! Its drivable short term but no fun you WILL have to have a remap to stop the problem and avoid killing your motor !!!
