Default Buying my 1st scooby. Advice please

hi all,

well the clutch has just gone on my 206gti and the thieving swines want £750 to fix it. no chance.

i have decided to join the ranks of being a scooby owner and need some advice on two cars i have my eye on. i know no one can really tell unless they see the cars in the flesh but was just after some general opinions about which one i should go for, and why.

links, which hopefully work are below.

Although as a daily driver this might be more suited API Engines

Just a thorght

ps. I think the Barry Boys comment is a little harsh

The 1st one looks as though its had a run through halfords with glue stuck on it.

And the 2nd one looks even worse with all them stickers on it. Looks like something you would see back in the 90s in max power.

Not saying the engine etc will be rough as a cats tongue. Them cars just look horrendous.

Have you looked into the costs of Scooby ownership mate? It's just that replacing a clutch on a Scooby is likely to cost circa £500 and there are services that can run into the £700 mark. It's a cheap car to buy, but not to run.

It would be a good idea for you to speak to David at APi for the lowdown on these cars; he knows them pretty much as well as anyone and won't BS you.

Good hunting!
