What oil temps do you run at?
I have a 04 UK STI, few mods inc ECUTek remap, car running 340Bhp...
While out and about at the weekend I noticed the oil temp hit 100 deg (I was driving through town for a bit). Once on the move, 30-40mph, temp went down to about 96-98 deg.
This got me thinking, although it was nice weather here on Sat it was hardly summer heat so this got me thinking what will my temps be like come the summer!
Are these temps normal (considering the weather, think outside temp was showing 16 or 18?) or should I be looking at getting an oil cooler fitted before the summer?
I have Silkolene fully synthetic oil can't remember the exact one as was done at last service.
What sort of temps do yours currently run at?

Anything around 77 mph I see 92 degrees. Less speed still seems about the same temp.
On my private test track near Knottingley I have seen 98 degrees at a constant 130 mph.
HTH
dunx
P.S. I pick up my T.M.O.C., top-mount-oil-cooler set-up on Tuesday morning.

do you have the oil temp fitted in a sandwich plate between the oil filter,if so it may be possible the sensor is getting heat soak from the headers?
i have just fitted a oil temp with the sensor in the oil gallery on top of the block and seeing 80-90 give or take a little

I believe mines on top of the block (was fitted when previous owner had it), not changed the oil on this one yet so haven't had a need to look underneath. I 'think' I can see where it's fitted on top of the block but so many things there I’m not 100% sure
