Default Black Diamond Disc/brakes

Hi,
i was considering buying black Diamond discs and brakes and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on them..... Good, Bad, etc

Just looking for some advise

A lot of people that run them are happy and as a combo they're supposed to be effective.

I would haowever, opt for Brembo replacement discs: unsurpassed quality, therefore less likely to warp - which is the main issue (and fade) with OEM-sized discs. You can get them as plain, grooved or cross-drilled. Unfortunately their new Maxx discs don't seem to be available for the Impreza .

The Brembo's 'cross-drilled' holes are, I believe, not drilled afterwards, but are actually formed in the casting process, so will be more resistant to cracking around the holes after many heat cycles. Plus they do look the biz.

That said though, you're prob best not to risk it and, instead, go for their grooved discs.

If you team these with Ferodo DS2500 pads, then it should be a great std disc-size solution...

if u want to get bigger brakes i found godspeed very quick n good service and the brakes where (i thought) very good . i got 325mm front discs and 4 pot calipers (brembo reps apperently) £700 but it was a yr or 2 ago. cheers
