Grrr...

Due to take my scoobie for its first MOT tomorrow... I tried starting it tonight and......

Fires up... runs for about 10 seconds and then dies....
try again... same... runs for ten seconds and dies....
tried AGAIN.. and this time tried using the accelerator - this caused lots of misfiring and it died again....
Thinking about this.. I decided to disconect the MAFS from the air filter, and tried again - this time it fired up ok and using the accelerator was ok (no misfires etc).
My question is:
Is the MAFS b*ggered??
Even tho i've now got a 'Check Engine', is the car ok to drive??
Or is the problem somewhere else???

Yes its dead, yes you could drive it but its now in limp home mode and btw it "shouldn't" be able to pass an MOT like that. Is it a MY99/00?

Any idea how much replacements are?? or if there is any way to revive it???
