How to refurb the OUTSIDE of 4 pot calipers
i dunno what metal they are made of but by god it rots/rusts etc !
bought a 2nd hand pair of 4 pots,they were scabby so cleaned them up enough and painted them blue, looked fine.
that was a yr ago, after lookin at them not the face that you can see but the other side has totally rotted/rusted thru the paint i put on and looks mank,so i used Nitrox paint remover to get the paint off and now they are back to bare metal,well,a nasty mix of black/bare metal.
its as if rust has welded itself to the sides and they no longer have features rather lumps etc on them,i have tried wire brush etc but its etched into them
anyway apart from sand blasting them ?
