What will happen if ...........
Straight to the point .I have a 1994 L reg import wagon ... What will happen if i put a front mount intercooler on the car thats got a standard ECU , Standard TD04 Turbo , induction kit , dump valve and later 97spec intercooler , will it need mapping ? or is it worth putting the Z4 ecu i have laying about ? or do i need a bigger turbo first ?

the front mount wont make much difference IMO. the z4 will not work with the td04 you have. you will need to fit a td05 from a saloon.
with the z4 ecu, td05 and front mount expect about 260-270 bhp.
your car as it stands with td04 and 3b ecu will be about 220bhp

expect more turbo lag mate! unless your mapping the car!!
i wouldnt bother with the front mount if your only looking around 300bhp mark as your intercooler will cope with that!
