Had mine for the last 2 years and although they are probably not the best for a 2L I get on really well with it, it's nice and docile when the woman drives but when you want to have fun it keeps pulling all the way to the redline.

There are lots of turbos that will outperform this in spool up, response and outright performance.

I wasn't talking about ones in the same league tbh but if you are going to the expense of a 2.5, box, clutch it would be a shame to spoil the whole experience with a turbo that doesnt produce what you want it to.

What power targets?

fair enough

ive just got myself a fully built 2.5 lump and motec m800. 740's are on there way. my idea was to get everything ready for when i can afford the gearbox and clutch but this isnt going to be for a long time as ive got a little one on route.
my target was 450/450 on a budget but i know the engine is good for 550 ish

money is always an issue and the md turbos seem well out my reach

MD321 T/V...had the "T" on my 2.5 forged , very quick spool up , awesome power as well ,,really too much power for my P1 chassie ....even with upgraded whiteline suspension mods and AP bb kits !!

would love an md range but bit pricey for me at moment.

sr55 is a 550 rated turbo so leaves me scope for future. dunno
