Fuel system swirl pots
What pumps do people use for lifting fuel to the swirl pot?
By my reckoning you need one with a greater flow than the walbro 255lt but by how much?????
Any help would be great
TIA

I've got one of these...
This is not the Bosh 044, rather the monster that pumps at 10 bar! Should do the job
Thanks to Harvey for supplying.
Currently getting parts together my my external setup.

Why would you need anything other than a walbro or similar to act as a lift pump, for most applications???
I use the standard Spec C in tank pump (virtually the same as a Walbro) to supply a 044 external Bosch and Swirl Pot. This provides AMPLE fuel to 4 x 1150cc Injectors, which are only being tickled for it's current 500+bhp output.

Wrong way round mate... low pressure is to swirl pot, feed to injector rail is high pressure and needs the pump with the guts!
Mmmm... as regards to the fuel surge, I would of thought that a separate swirl pot and high pressure pump would be much more effecient. I know a few OEM set-ups have the combined pump and pot, but perhaps there lies the answer. I would suspect it is cheaper and certainly not meant for the rigours of track conditions?

You have totally misunderstood
low pressure high flow to fill the swirl pot, then the walbro fitted in the swirl pot to feed the injectors.
AFAIK there is nothing in the rule book to say you cant fit the injector pump into the swirl pot, it makes sense in terms of packaging to me.
