Default Kangaroo Throttle Response

Hi,

I have a 2001 Newage Impreza WRX and it produces a slight misfire. The next step is to change the coil packs which will probbaly cure it but it also has a rather harsh throttle response at lower revs when the clutch if fully up if you hit the gas hard it shakes and bogs down. Feels like a bit of a clunk like something isnt in line or loose. Almost like kangaroo petrol if you understand the term though at higher revs its fine.

I was wondering if anyone could telll me what the problem is? If its normal or not and what could be done to stop it.

Richard

Thanks. I'll give it a go.

I forgot to mention that I also get a rather violent engine shake usually when i have driven for a while then let the car rest for 30 mins. When i turn it back on the engine shakes violently and last time it was so bad i could hear the coolant sloshing about.

I'll try the cleaning first.
