Ok i will thanks, i have read, as you say that with ppp the cat has been removed but seems strange it still has what looks like a cat fitted, was expecting a straight stainless pipe??
Thanks again for your help!! i'll do some homework!!

Andy 1st is your car a wrx or an sti.
If its a WRX the PPP removes the centre cat but leaves the cat in the Downpipe and the Up-pipe. The STI has no cat in the up-pipe and the PPP removes the downpipe and replaces it with a prodrive sports cat downpipe and removes the centre cat.
I have fitted the STI PPP system to my WRX and removed the uppipe cat and replaced it with a standard upipe from a classic which has no cat and is exactly the same as the new age uppipe minus the cat. The removal of the uppipe cat makes a massive difference.
The PPP centre cat delete pipe I got was a straight through pipe but was mounted within the standard heatshields which may be what you have, if you look through the gap in the top and bottom halfs of the heat shield you should be able to see if it is just a straight through pipe or not.
I have put a couple of pics below to show the difference in the two PPP kits and also show the WRX system
If you replace the uppipe cat you should get a remap same with the downpipe. Your ecu is already mapped for the centre cat removal via the PPP ecu.
A sports cat downpipe and the removal of the upipe cat, assuming you have a WRX, makes a fair bit of difference. If you have an STI PPP then the only cat you still have is in the sports cat downpipe.
Hope that helps
cheers
