What turbo now?
Not sure what route of turbo to go down now as we proved that my set up now is being held back by the ATP GT3076(Garrett GT30 core). Its made 410/405, but Jase @ Area 52 is convinced there is a fair bit more to be made with a better turbo and recommends the FP Green to see mid-late 400's. Boost now raised to 1.5bar and 1.6bar respectively on remap.Think that may be the route but am interested what you guys would suggest. Spec on link-
Many thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that as JGM mapped it, that it would be getting the best that it could out of it. What does Simon say about the thing that is holding it back ?

From looking at your spec i dont recognise what the turbo is. There are lots of different GT30 hybrids. Some work, some dont.

I don't recall any issues with regard to the turbo.. I tihnk there are better ones out there and it was perhaps aging in comparison to a modern one like the md321 etc

Right, finally its gonna be one of these 3
Area 52 New FP Green
Laterals md 321 T+
Tracktive's Owen Garrett(large one)
The green is cheapest and not sure if will spool and be torqy enough.
Laterals sounds perfect for my needs untill i spoke to Richard Bulmer about his Owen Garrett, he says its prob the same as the T+ on the graph but is better on the road, and £100 cheaper
My aim/goal is for A-B blasting with high torque and good throttle response and spool.
Dilemma.

Type R Brad,
Speak to AET Turbos about my 2.5 setup using an AET standard fit turbo (my car which is maintained by Richard Bulmer). This is a GT30 core and IS ballistic as a road car as regards to its imense torque lowdown, which makes it an extremely driveable motor. Whilst I fully appreciate my engine spec is not standard and may differ from yours, this turbo enables my engine to pull like a train with the last recorded run on a Dastek RR showing 480lbft (this was not peak torque, but shows you what lowdown grunt it has) @ 3500rpm. I am not aware of any other 2.5ltr set-up producing this kind of lowdown grunt on straight VPower at 1.8bar boost, whilst still producing 500+bhp at the top end.
Tracktives Turbo also certainly produces the goods as ScoobyTyson on here will verify. He has acheived some impressive times in sprint, 30-130mph runs and 1/4m, whilst on a totally STANDARD 2ltr engine.
There have been a number of "funky" drop-in turbo's hitting the streets over the past 12 months or so.
Good luck with what ever you choose.
