oil temp gauge - no working!

can anybody tell me how these work? or more to the point any likely reasons why mine isn't working??
all the connections into the back of the gauge appear to be ok, the oil pressure gauge works fine but i get no reading what so ever. any ideas??

Thats nothing, my fuel gauge hasn't worked since I broke the needle the second time round. Managed to get it back in place but she only wants to go up, not down....kinda like my woman.

Car must be driven 10-15 minutes before oil temp starts to rise.
My Apexi oil temp indicator was working after 5 months and I found out it was the oil temp sensor probe.I fitted my indicator to a mate's Rex who is using the same system as me and works in his car.Unfortunately for me Apexi do not sel the temperature sensor seperately.Apexi oil gauge needle will flickers when ignition switch is turned ON which indicates the gauge is functioning.
