STi Intercooler is it worth it?

I was thinking about changing my std 51 bugeye intercooler for an STi intercooler but wondered if there is any benefit from this as the mods I have planned are 1st cat back exhaust and panel filter?

Also are these an easy fit? i.e rip old one off (wrx) and bolt new one on?

I wouldn't bother. The swap would also need the STi undertray (alterd to fit WRX scoop) or STi undertray + scoop which adds significant cost.

its a good mod if you plan to go further, but if you are only doing panel filter and cat back exhaust then keep the cooler that you have got.
