oil pressure
hi all,quick question,what should the oil pressure be on my my99 uk turbo?my oil pressure gauge is reading 60psi at idle and 100psi while driving,a bit too high!!! it has the sensor that came with the gauge and is fitted into a sandwhich plate thing that goes between the oil filter and block!it their anywhere else i can plumb it in??

im looking at getting an oil pressure gauge and im sure you can fit it into your oil pressure sender switch just screw off and screw in your sender, it might need an adaptor to fit and be better with a 3 way t piece so you can add the existing sender and an oil temp while your at it theres a guy on ebay mcgillmotorsports he does these gauges with fitting kits pretty reasonable prices too.
as for your readings they seem to be too high dont know what they should be when driving round about 40- 70 psi i think.

mine is just over 6 bar driving and about 3bar at warm idle. i think its 14. something psi to a bar. so a min of 84 psi if im right

2-3bar(29-43.5psi) at idle, 6-7bar(87-101psi) on cold idle, 6-7bar(87-101psi) on cruise.
40-70 when drivings quite low!
The other place to mount the sender is into the oil pressure switch under the alternator. As sai, you can buy an LMA adaptor which is a fly lead type of affair, with a fitting at one end to fit the new sender, and old oil switch.
