A decat down pipe will up the boost a small amount but nothing major.

In all fairness if you want to up the boost and keep it safe you want to be remapping it, don't take short uts to gaining boost or you will be paying out big time for an engine rebuild!

Forget an aftermarket dump valve - they can upset the running. In any case, all Subaru's OEM ones work perfectly fine. They can only become an issue when running really big horsepower.

Prob worthwhile fitting a decent OEM sized uprated panel filter in the std airbox. Main players would be K&N, Apexi, Green IMHO. I'd opt for the K&N (I happen to have a Green, myself).

I'd steer away form an open cone filter/intake pipe, as it's exposed to the underbonnet heat, which means much less dense air going in to it (i.e. less potential power).

Panel filter is always good, Cone filters are a complete waste of money unless you are running big figures (which you are not), a remap is certianly best but before you do take it for a remap get a few of the extra little bits done first.

Fuel pump
Panel Filter
Uprated NGK sparks

Dump valve serves no purpose other than to make a sound that broadcasts to the world that you have just changed gear, your money would be better spent elsewhere (put it towards mapping)

They are NGK:
PFR6B - for no mods... or filter, decat dowmpipe.
PFR7B - for remapped motors with increased boost levels.

Gapped to 0.65-0.7mm Gapped my 7s to a tight 0.7

The 7s run a little colder

In short you should have EVERYTHING you can on the car to get it mapped, there is no point mapping a car to change parts for a better product just afterwards because you won't have got the best results for your money!

Get everything you can on her now then remap her!

Bob is good, he advertises on here, as BRDevelopments (see the banners) you will get hold of him that way.
