Uh Oh.....
How many Things can you break when removing the inlet manifold?????
Managed to snap just about every other pipe (mostly vacuum pipes) whilst removing my inlet manifold!!
Tried to pull them off and they just fell apart in my hands
but anyways the problem is this...
I tried pulling one of the pipes off of a "thingy" and it snapped the "thingy" not the pipe! I don't know what this thing is so if anyone knows it would be helpfull.
It was mounted on the passenger side of the inlet manifold underneath and the bracket was fixed under the manifold, It looks just like this...
BUT mine was green where this one is red, if that makes sense?!
anyway i would like to know what this is called so i can order another one as i snapped the green bits off mine
So no car for me for a while
Cheers

One pipe goes under the inlet manifold to a metal pipe that runs with the fuel lines but the pipe is a little smaller than the fuel ones and i believe the other pipe goes to the inlet manifold

You don't really need the charcoal canister, it can be ditched, along with the pipes. The throttle body connection will need blanking, also, the line to the tank can be run down to your chassis.
The purge valve will need to still be connected electrically, or you'll get a cel.

Cheers Guys much appreciated, someone just told me the same on another site!!
Mit, so i can run the pipe from the canister down to the chassis, blank the throttle body connection and mount the solenoid and plug it in and this will work?
So i might not need to buy a new one!!

Yeah, look at the three pipes that come into the bay on the passenger side, one is fuel supply, one fuel return, the other is the tank vent line, if i remember it's the smaller of the three.
Disconnect it from the metal pipe which runs under your inlet manifold, and run it down to the bottom of the car, you could extend it and run it a bit further down the car to prevent smells in the cabin.
The small pipe on top of the throttle body runs to a small metal pipe, then to the canister. Just remove it and blank off the throttle side. Then the canister and any pipes on it can be removed, including the purge sol pipes, just leave it electrically connected. Job done!
