Hi iam new to the scooby game and have a 2003 WRX STi Type uk PPP unfortunately she has a touch of piston slap iam looking at buying an engine to replace the Knackered one but am a bit confused as i have been offered lots of different ones ie red Tops? Ej20? what should i be looking for as i want to replace with one with same or more power , was thinking of getting a jap import one Does this matter? Whats the best thing to do please ? do i rebuild ? confused HELP

not yet iam afraid i did speak to a man at sparshatts subaru (Local main dealer) and he reckons £4500 to fix it

 

tu dear that if it is knackerd talk tu david at api good builder him shame you jst bought it and its knackerd but as in previous posts if its only making it when cold and not causin any performance difference wudnt bother new tu scoobys myself always bin a ford man happend tu me years ago with a cosworth nearly cost me mi marriage iwas very scared buying my impreza only had it 3 months no probs touch wood dont want tu experience wat happend with the cosworth again feel for you
