Default Got fault codes/How do i fix

I have the following problems with my car. It idles at 1500rpm all the time and it is jerky when i lift of the throttle. Also when it comes on boost there is a strong smell of petrol.

Ive got a 2002 wrx and have the following fault codes:

P0103 Mass air flow sensor circuit high input
P0031 Front oxygen (A/F) sensor heater circuit low input
P1131 Front oxygen sensor circuit malfunction (short circuit)

I have tried to clear them with the ignition on and they dont clear. When i try to clear them with the car running the car stalls.

Looking at the codes what do i need to buy to fix them/clear them.

Thanks

So what are you using to read the codes? Can you not reset the ECU with that? Do you have a decat pipe?

I guess the ECU has thrown the codes and lit the cel because it has detected a problem with the MAF and front lambda sensor.

I'd try and fix the car first try and "borrow" a known working MAF and swap that over first and see how the car runs.

To read the codes my mate done it on a computer. He works for AA. He cleared the misfire codes but when he goes to clear the other three they wont clear. The problem is i dont know any one else with an impreza to check the maf. Is it a good % possability that it is the maf because "impreza breaker" has offered me a second hand one for £120, but dont want to spend that if it is ok.

The car has no modifications. Thanks

I would hazard a guess that you have a vacuum lealk or intercooler pipe or DV leak.. the air the engine should be consuming is going out the leak and therefore you are getting a high maf reading code 103 and then the ecu is injecting fuel for all the air the maf has seen but the air is not entering the engine so it is running very rich and the lambda sensor is detecting that but the ecu cannot adjust it to overcome the rich mixture hence the other two codes.

Could be wrong but I would be checking for leaks..

the pipe on the front of the inlet manifold just to the left it is about 3cms long and goes from manifold to a one way valve.. they always comes off.. check the condition of the pipe.

I'm not sure where exactly the dumpvalve goes on a wrx but you can see where the pipe plumb's on to the recirc valve on this sti's intercooler (random google image btw).
