cold weather - oil pressure light
Would it be acceptable for the oil pressure light to take slightly longer to go out in this cold weather?
Mine takes about 1-2 seconds after starting to go out if its started from stone cold in this freezing weather.
After that it goes out immeditaly on subcequent starts.
The car is due a oil and filter change. Could this be the cause maybe? wrong grade? (10w40)
I dont like the idea of no oil pressure for that long, especialy in a impreza with chocolate main bearings.
Your thoughts/opinions please

i think i will have to put it down to the cold weather. frightens me a bit though! i am having the sump replaced next week (it has big dent it in) with oil and filter to rule out a restricted oil pickup pipe.
