I think its 10nm... I would ask around. I ended up buying 2 new heads as 3 bolts snapped over tightening.

auto data is wrong!

7-10nm for all the bolts on a 93-96 car.

20nm for the cam cap bolts under the cover, 7-10 for the front caps on newer cars.

Be aware some are 8mm and some are 6mm, you will strip threads or snap bolts if you use the wrong torque

I learn't the hard way! I read somewhere it was 17Nm.. Ended up snapping a few bolts, then drilled and Heli coiled them. Re-built and whilst cranking, camshaft shifted, ceased and tore through the cambelt... Engine back out and a pair of new heads... Never missed a beat since tho

thats great everyone thanks,we did'nt even know the cams had to come off to do the head gaskets.

i got this for the head . dose it look right.

Head bolt torque

Tighten in the following stages

1. 29Nm

2. 69Nm

3.Slacken bolts by 180 degrees

4. Slacken bolts a further 180 degrees

5. Bolts 1 and 2 to 34Nm

6.Bolts 3-6 to 15Nm

7. Tighten all bolts by 90 degrees

8. tighten a further 90 degrees

Sequence

5 2 4

3 1 6

3 1 6

5 2 4

Bolts 5 3 3 5 are the flywheel side of the engine
