EcuTekd ECU swap question
I have bugeye WRX and its got a Andy F remapp on it, but i'm looking at swapping the engine to an STi one along with loom and ECU, the question is, can the "mapp" be swapped over to the STi ecu or do you need to get a full new mapp?
If its a complete new mapp, what do the WRX 'mapped' ecu's sell for?
Thanks
S!

will be best to ask the mapper if they can though I think most will not tranfer the map or the license, so you may need a full map,
the wrx ecu could sell for around £100-£250 depending on the mods you have done to it I think.

best bet would be to sell the ecu to a WRX owner looking to have a remap so they can use your EcuTek licence.
You cannot transfer the licence to another ecu.

As Simon says....the licence stays with the ECU and not you or another ECU !
I wonder if AndyF might want to buy it as he can map a Bugeye with a discount

also make sure you dont sell it on without warning the person it will need mapping for there car.
chucked my old ecu on a mates car (at a RR day) and on mine it ran rich, his it ran dangerously lean and operator aborted then run. exactly the same car, same mods but still not right
