Question

My MY93 WRX is currently in storage and I need to move it. I know it's bad to tow it on two wheels, but can it be towed on all four wheels? I'm hoping to avoid low loading it.

I think you can tow them the same as any other car...

Assuming there is a reason why you cannot stick a charged battery on it and drive it? as surely this would do it more good?

There are issues with tow though, I think you are suppose to use a metal bar rather than rope now, not that anyone takes much notice.

I thought all 4 wheel drive cars need to of the road when towing, ie put it on a pick up truck or trailer. I was told that if u tow a 4WD car over a long distance it can damamge the drive train. Dont knwo if this applies to Scoobys, cos I know it applies to GTI-R's.

Towing it on all four wheels is the same as driving it, so shouldn't cause any problems.

Avoid towing a Scooby on two wheels because the centre-diff is not designed for prolonged exposure to big differences in rotational speed. IMHO, I wouldn't even tow it a "short" distance, unless it was a real emergency.

You can tow a scoob, but you I would recommend using a solid tow bar. I found towing another scoob no problem with one, with no risk of the towwed car hitting me.

If not, always ask for a low loader.
