problem starting in the cold snow!
never had problems starting from cold before, only from hot/warm but that has been sorted! This morning (no snow but real cold) struggled a little bit. Tonight, from cold engine with snow on the ground struggled quite a bit. Sounded like it was firing but just didn't want to start but eventually did. Now I know its almost definately down to the snow, my question is: will not having enough anti freeze cause this? When I filled the system in the summer, i mixed in coolant with the coolant anti freeze pre mix stuff. Is it up to the job?? What will happen if the coolant in the block freezes or am I worrying too much?? My car needs a blanket

could be cold start relay which is designed to pump more fuel from cold to start car,in my opinion u should have 60 per cent water and 40 per cent antifreeze, the only way having no antifreeze in car will effect starting by seizing the engine solid with lack of antifreeze

my first guess would be the battery, hook it upto another one and see if it starts easly, also the coolant / water ratio depends on the coolant used, genuine subaru coolant is a 50/50 mix subaru cooling conditioner should also be added
