Default running like a sack of ****

i let somebody borrow my car today (bad mistake) when he returned he said it was running bad i listened then lifted up the bonnet and saw that somehow the dump valve had come off he only drove it back about 3 miles without a dump valve on its now running really bad wont idle properly and when you try to drive it it coughs and splatters.any ideas what could be up with it theres also a funny noise from the turbo area sounds like its blowing.

fitted it back on no leaks but did notice a blot broken off on my turbo where it meets downpipe I put my hand down and it's blowing from there could it just need a new gasket and a bolt is that why it's running shot due to no pressure
