Default URGENT!! need help turns over but wont start?

hi guys i was driving a moderate speed 20-30 over speed bumps on the way home the other day and the car just cut out.

felt like it was missing as the revs died. i pushed it home luckily not very far.

when i try to start the car it turns over but wont fire up its like it wants to start but just doesnt catch

ive check the plugs they are sparking

the fuel pump is priming

i looked around breifly and cant find any loose connections

prosport cant book me in until next wednesday and neither can MPB!!

can any one possibly give me an idea of what it is??
OR WHAT I CAN DO?

first thing to do is make sure your cam belt hasn,t snapped, then do a fault code read, you are most likley to see a cam/crank sensor fault, this is a common fault on the older classics.

the belts look fine and there is still a spark from the plugs so im thinkin if theres a spark then it wont be crank sensor.

its a version 4 sti if that helps with ideas

Has got fuel in it i assume? sounds like a typical out of fuel situation. If it has maybe the pick up has fallen of the pump

the cam sensor seems like it is fine. may seem like a silly question to be asking at this point but if the cam belts snapped or failed then what are the consequences on the ej20?
