hi gents ive got a 98 sti v4 type r ive just rebuilt engine complete with cdb under piston squirters,honed,cleaned,heads reseated etc,je pistons,eagle rods,acl bearings,arp studs,new crank,cometic 1.6mm gaskets,new everything througout with receipts ,got all mots from import in 2000, jap import papers,61k on the clock only done 2k in 4 yrs,in mica black ,and id say very well looked after, BUT now i have to sell for deposit for house how much is she worth? sorry if ive bored u.

without coming accross as a total ****, its not exactly a technical question, to be in the General Technical section.

In my opinion somewhere between 5500 and 7500 depending on the condition of the car, the rebuild depending on who did it and how much documentation cam with it could be seen as a good thing or to someone who is just looking for a clean std. car will be a bad thing.

To be shelling out top dolla for that year / spec of car id expect the underside , inside and underbonnet to be immaculate and not a mark on the paintwork.

All in my humble opinion of course and best of luck with the sale

 

shes totally standard other than rebuild... paint is mint maybe 4 tiny dinks and a scratch.

 

I'd say £5k max, as there loads of type rs with a warranty from traders from £5k upwards, most are around the £6k.

 

yeah tis a bad time to be selling im afraid, took a mate 4 months to sell his, and that was imaculate cos it had just had a respray
