Post EGR SOLENOID STI ENGINE????

Any 1 know where i can get 1 of these from? Its a EGR SOLENOID only found on the STI engine. Need 1 asap.

Dont think it is a EGR solenoid - more likely to be Pure Control Solenoid valve located under the Inlet manifold.
Try David @ API Engines - he should be able to sort it out for you.

Ok lads no probz thanks i try him! A bloke was selling 1 on ebay and he called it a EGR SOLANOID so thought it was 1 of them lol well what ever it is is making me loose boost.

what does this do and would it cause idle problems and stalling

if it were stuck open then it might..

if you block both vac pipes on it with small bolts leave the purge solenoid plugged in electronically it cannot do anything and then should idle without issue.. but it is unusual for them to cause a problem.

Why do you think it is this? have to removed parts and oputting back together? any chance a pipe is on wrong?

i need it cause i snapped 1 of the pipes.

if you block both pipes it should run without issue until you source another..

try HDC SUBARU - parts .. breaking .. salvage .. consumables.. mail order

Did the same thing bloody and snapped when changing pipes to silicone. Can the car be run without one then as mine just wouldn't start with it disconnected but didnt bung the pipes off
