Default Standard actuator setting

Hi,I have a MY99 UK turbo.I was wondering what the standard setting is for the actuator. At the moment the hole in the actuator arm just slips over the wastgate arm pivot without any force being applied.Should it have any preload and if so how much?
Cheers in advance.

Try initially setting with approx 2mm overlap between the rod and arm, then check and adjust using a boost gauge.

If the assembly has become slack of it's own accord, then you need to check that the wastegate penny and arm are still joined together and functioning correctly.
