I was told not to bother with upgrading the front ones (93wrx).
Abyone who deals with imprezas should be able to get you either new or 2nd hand.
If you want upgraded ones Scoobyparts Ltd WHITELINE UPRATED FRONT 'WIRE' DROP LINKS

Right at the last paragraph suggests replacements for the rose jointed drop links.

Camskill do the rose jointed motorsport ones, about £84 pair delivered. WHITELINE SUSPENSION PRODUCTS Whiteline Droplink Kit - Replaces Metal Type Droplinks IMPREZA 2.0i WRX STi GDB EJ207 01 Apr 2001 ONWARDS Grey Import :: £76.33 :: Subaru Impreza Turbo Parts, Tuning, Spares & Accessories :: 2.0i WRX STi GDB 01 On Import
You may have to search around for your model but they all come back to the KLC39 kit. BTW they list the OE item at £46 per side so the fancy ones are cheaper.
Funny you should post this as I've just fitted these as I broke an OE one (22mm bar and track days don't help), the plastic ball housing pulled out of the metal cup. Rose jointed replacement make the front feel a lot tighter.

Need to clarify.
New age cars are a 60mm link and are replaced with the KLC39 kit.
Classics have 90-100mm links and then the kit should be KLC38. Camskill also do the OE links.

For info,
I got a pair from my local dealer for £56 (£28 each) over Chirstmas.
If you go down this route you'll have to ask for drop links for a P1 as the UK (steel wishbone) drop links are a different design.
