do you NEED to have uprated headbolts for over 400bhp?
just want to pickle ur brains for a sec. i currently have a type r impreza that i plan to push towards 550bhp. i have fully forged internals and a 2.5 cdb.
i have replaced my liners with these next level heavy duty ones but i have been told by a friend that my ARP head bolts that i have currently, will not be good enough for the figures i'm trying to achieve.
apparently i need to use M14 size head bolts to be adequate.. i just want to know, how true is this? i'm hoping some expert engine builders on this site can point me in the right direction
cheers
