Usual suspect is the maf sensor, does she hunt also or just rev to 1500rpm?

You are starting it and leaving it to tick over for an hour or after an hour of driving?

when i changed my turbo a little while ago some water leaked out of the coolant hose for the turbo. when all was back together i started it up and it would idle at 1500, stopped it, started again and 1500 idle, when rev`d up a bit it would come back down to 1500 but very slowly. so i took it for a spin and gave it some major beans on a nice quiet bypass and it had been perfect 800 dile ever since. what im getting at is i think i had a little airlock around the icv/idle control valve which gave it a false reading.
