Yes, fill it about 80%, it doesn't really matter if you overfill it as there is an overflow...

As you are only topping it up you could get away with just water but you do dilute the strength of your antifreeze. Alternately you can top up with neat coolant. Failing that a mix of both

 

You need to add coolant (water with antifreeze in it) Some are pre mixed ready to pour straight in some need mixing with water just check the bottle

 

am going to get some coolant then/... dont want to freeze anything in this weather

topped it up, started the engine then i checked again, all gone... topped it up while the engine was running and it drank quite a lot...

there is another smaller tank and on the cap says 'see owners manual.. COOLANT' near the passenger headlight... the hose comes from the bottom of the tank and goes near the header tank cap..

what do i do with that?? its empty aswell... guess fill it up aswell

 

Yeah thats your expansion tank. It needs to have coolant in it also. You will see a max and min lines on it.
