Guys, I was chatting with Shaggy off here and it would appear that I have a slightly differnt from normal Air Filter etc fitted to my July 00 plated Sport, see below pic....


Anyways, what type of filter/induction would slip straight into this slot without too much hassles etc?

I would assume that the one from a turbo one would fit. Looks a similar size.
Best thing is to take it out and take it to a motor factors.

 

nope it's longer than the turbo one same width though

And does this mean that I have a Phase 2 with the MAF located on top of the engine just before the actual housing itself?

hope the car is still running well, id avoid the one above, try and stick to a panel filter like the one I gave you.

heres a few links to try. they dont state if they do a fitment for your car but if you ask for andy when you call hes very good
